What a Year 2024 Has Been!

With 2024 behind me, I can’t help but look back with immense gratitude and joy at all the amazing things Glamping Essentials accomplished!  This was a year filled with growth, creativity, and community—all thanks to your incredible support! Here’s a closer look at the milestones that made this year so special:

Supporting Canadian Small Businesses

🌟 This year, I had the privilege of shining a spotlight on 20 incredible Canadian small businesses. Through the Glamping Box Series, 15 businesses were featured, each offering unique, high-quality products that brought a touch of Canada’s beauty and creativity right to you. On top of that, I showcased 5 more amazing businesses in my thoughtfully curated gift boxes. Supporting local artisans and entrepreneurs has always been at the heart of what I do, and I am thrilled to see their work appreciated by our wonderful glamping community.

Celebrating Canada’s Natural Beauty

🍁 Canada’s breathtaking landscapes are a constant source of inspiration for us. Once again I partnered with Parks Canada to include fun merchandise in the boxes. These items not only celebrate the natural beauty of our country but also encourage all of us to cherish and protect these treasured spaces. Whether you’re glamping in the wilderness or simply enjoying the view from your cottage window, these pieces remind us of the wonders that surround us.

Getting Creative in the Kitchen

🍹 This year, I mixed it up with 4 brand-new drink recipe cards. Perfect for cozy winter nights or refreshing summer evenings, these recipes brought a little extra joy to your glamping adventures. From warm, spiced drinks to chilled campfire coolers, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. I love to see these recipes becoming part of your memories!

Expanding the Brand

👕 2024 also marked the launch of a custom clothing line! Featuring stylish and comfortable t-shirts, hoodies, long sleeves, and ball caps, this collection is designed to bring a little piece of glamping life into your everyday wardrobe. Whether you’re exploring the great outdoors or relaxing at home, these pieces let you carry the spirit of adventure with you wherever you go and can be 100% customized. Blogs! Blogs! And More Blogs!

📚 This year, I revitalized the Thoughts from a Canadian Glamper blog, publishing an impressive TEN blogs (not including this one!). From glamping hacks to self-care tips, the blog covered a variety of topics to inspire and enhance your outdoor adventures. A standout highlight was our three-part series on Poison Ivy, a must-read before you head out on your 2025 adventures. Be sure to check them out and let me know your favourite!

Don’t Forget the Campsite Reviews!

⛺ A new feature on our website this year was the addition of From Rustic to Luxury: The Average Family Man's Honest Campsite Reviews. Drafted by my husband, Jason, these reviews provide detailed insights into recently visited Canadian campgrounds and campsites. Covering everything from amenities to value, cautions, and tips, these reviews are a helpful resource for planning your next trip. Seven reviews were published in 2024, and we can’t wait to share more in 2025!

Glamping Essentials Campfire Collective

🔥 One of my most exciting additions this year was the launch of our private Facebook group, Glamping Essentials Campfire Collective. This community brings together Canadians who share a love for camping and cottaging, providing a space to relax, connect, and create lifelong memories.
