Who is Glamping Essentials?

Hi, I’m Anja! As a nurse, wife, and mom of three, I turned to the outdoors—especially camping—during the pandemic as a way to cope with the stress of working in healthcare while managing remote learning for my kids. A lifelong camper, I discovered my love for glamping while prepping for another trailer camping season. I wanted to treat myself (#selfcare) to a subscription box of luxurious camping goodies but found no options that supported Canadian suppliers.

So, I created Glamping Essentials—a subscription box that not only celebrates glamping but also supports small and independent Canadian businesses. My goal? To bring joy and relaxation to fellow Canadian Glampers like you.

What is Glamping Essentials all about?

Glamping Essentials is on a mission to elevate outdoor adventures while supporting Canadian health, wellness, and community. Our seasonal subscription boxes are thoughtfully curated with goodies from small Canadian businesses, blending practical camping items with treasures to cherish for years to come.

Each box includes:

🌲 Outdoor-themed items like stylish camp drinkware and eco-friendly handmade soaps.

🌲 Natural essentials like soy and pine fire starters, insect repellents, and snacks.

🌲 Unique keepsakes for your camping or cottage lifestyle.

 

Highlights from the Journey So Far

  • 2022: Supported 11 Canadian small businesses and one Canadian charity.
  • 2023: Featured 16 small businesses in our subscription boxes, showcased two more in our gift boxes, and included Parks Canada merchandise to highlight Canada’s natural beauty.
  • 2024: Collaborated with 20 more Canadian businesses, expanded custom clothing, relaunched the Thoughts from a Canadian Glamper blog, added campsite reviews, and completely revamped the website.
