Fall Glamping Box 2024
Fall has arrived, and with it some of the best camping Canada has to offer! As per the theme of the Fall Glamping Box, Embracing the Season of Change, fall offers a lot of good things: vibrant colours, fresh apples, cooler nights and the promise of something different to come. Much like our fall box, which is also filled with vibrant colours, some things to do on the cooler nights, and the promise of something different to come... only thing we’re missing is the fresh apples!
As fun and vibrant as the changing fall leaves, Metatuq (Bas Saint-Laurent, Quebec) has shared with us their 4-in-1 fall toque. As owner, Naïma, says, “Metatuq is not just a recommendation that all mothers give their children in the winter!” To wear Metatuq is to be part of a movement bigger than yourself. It is to be aware of the impact of one’s choices on society and on the environment. It’s about wanting to evolve as a person while helping to elevate society. Metatuq is a toque that thinks big!
One of the best parts of fall camping is spending time with those you love. To support this we created and included an 88-piece puzzle (Glamping Essentials, Kingston, Ontario) with a beautiful waterfront scene. When you’re ready for quiet time on your own, we have included a complete embroidery kit, featuring a blue heron, from Hook, Line & Tinker (Wolfville, Nova Scotia). I challenge you to complete your puzzle and embroidery project and share these on our private Facebook Group: Glamping Essentials Campfire Collective.
Our snack this fall was inspired by my own fond fall memories of making peanut brittle with my grandmother in her small, very warm, apartment. It was stressful and sticky, but the result was always delicious. While travelling the east coast this summer, I had the luck of finding Maritime Madness (Montague, PEI). Although they are famous for their vast options of hot sauces, it was their peanut brittle that sparked the warmest memories.
In response to frequent requests, the fall box includes a Canadian-made Simple Syrup! Many of the past (and current) drink recipes call for a bit of simple syrup, and although you can make this at home, it’s so much glampier to use a pre-made product! This classic simple syrup comes from Modern General (Ottawa, Ontario) who take pride in using Canadian ingredients in their products. Check them out for more Canadian-made cocktail syrups and try this one in your Amaretto Stone Sour recipe today.
